Transportation

Airport transfers These are being pre-arranged by the WAIA secretariat with FcM Travel, a reliable private taxi company for all events.

International travelers who have indicated they require this service will be picked up from the airport and brought back there by FcM, whose staff will be waiting for you in the arrival hall (just after you have passed through customs) with a WAIA sign mentioning the name(s) of the passenger(s) to be picked up. If for some reason you do not see this sign, go to the Charleston JKIA (FcM) office in the airport or call them under the number 0720 235819 available 24 hours a day.

Please ensure all information on the voucher is correct: name, number of passengers and where you have been dropped off. Self-sponsored participants will be required to reimburse the WAIA organising committee based on an average negotiated fee (about KSh 1500 or € 15), which is lower than the standard commercial fare.

To arrange for your transfers, please contact Ann Gakio ([anngakio@gmail.com])

Flight bookings Teresiah Ng’ang’a and Ann Gakio are coordinating the flight bookings. If the WAIA office has arranged your flights, please contact one of them for any queries you may have. Other participants will need to deal directly with their travel agencies or their airlines.

Travel in Nairobi Shuttle buses between the venues for EAFIF and AISA will be provided free of charge courtesy of KARI
